That's funny, purchasing a cement mixer just to wash a sleeping bag and tent
 {Where did you say you got your degree?}
What happened to washing in a commercial, front loading (large) washing
machine? Also, my rule is never sleep in my sleeping bag without a liner. I
ve had excellent results hand washing my tent with a good bio soap and then
taking the garden hose for the rinse cycle. I suppose a front loading washer
could handle a tent too. Probably use the gentle cycle -- like I do with the
sleeping bag.
As for smells -- 1 cup white vinegar, 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 1 cup
laundry detergent.
