move? Somewhere near the AT and a University.

Didn't see any mention of Albany, NY. Probably no major city east of the
Rockies has more excellent hiking trails within a 4 hour drive than Albany -
the Adirondacks, Catskills, Green Mtns., Berkshires, Taconics, Gunks. State
and private universities aplenty. A stable, government-based economy.
Moderate cost of living. And mild winters thanks to much hot air from our
windbag politicos!
