We talked to Bob (Coach) today.  Latest word is that he'll be on the
train back to Gainesville tomorrow with a shuttle to Neels Gap to pick
up where he left off.

Turns out his problem was only partly equipment.  The main problem was
physical - because he lost use of one of his legs.  His orthopedist
determined that it was due to pinched nerves.  He has a redesigned pack,
new boots and a lighter load.  He'll probably be back on the trail on
Tuesday.
