    The Trail of Tears began in Bradley County, Tennessee, just above the
Georgia state line, at what was known as Red Clay, now a Tennessee state park
commemorating Cherokee history most appropriately. It is an interesting place
to visit and relatively close to New Echota, also very interesting.
