Hello Everyone,  I have been off list for several months because of work
related problems and because things were just not working out for us to
start our thruhike in 2003.  However, things change and sometimes for
the better!  So now we are taking the financially irresponsible  plunge
and starting our hike on April 12.  Needless to say, I am stressing our
over all the stuff that suddenly needs to be taken care of--like moving
all our stuff to my mother's house in Arkansas.

So I have a question.  I always thought I wanted to go to Traildays,
but our late start and our VERY slow beginning hiking pace means that we
will probably not make it to Damascus in time.  Is it worth trying to
find a shuttle?  Will most of the activities be at the end of the week?
Will I always regret that we didn't make it to Traildays if we just
forget about trying to make it?
