[at-l] SNP Trip...again.

If you are doing double duty on this hike and not only gathering info for a
class, but also working on a sectional AT thru-hike, than by all means, this
is a fine schedule. Not too strenuous with a bit of variety thrown in.

Personally, I didnt enjoy the SNP very much on my thru and got out as soon
as I could doing multiple 26mile days and a 32 miler. It was just a flat
green tunnel to me. The only scenery seemed to be at the sme overlooks
skyline drive shared with the trail.

If I knew then what know now, I probably would have extended my hike
through SNPand done many of the side trails. They all lead to neat stuff
like waterfals and rivers and such.

In the south, at wild cat ridge, look at the loop formed by wildcat ridge
trail and riprap trail. And up near Byrds Nest, look at Neighbor Mtn Trail
to Knob Mtn Trail up to Big Blue.

my $.02

Matt
