[at-l] Knives

I remember getting my first knife when I was 9 or 10
years old when in cubscouts. It was looked at as a
tool by me (and my Dad for that matter)..not a weapon.

In Boy Scouts, we had to get our "totin chip" (I
forgot how it is spelled) award to use a knife. Was
still emphasized as a tool.

Seems in this PC day and age, anything that can poke,
cut, scrape or wound must be a deadly weapon. A few
years ago an honors student, who was champion
violinist, was expelled from school because she had a
Swiss Army Knife. She used it to scrape the build-up
on her violin string.

Sheesh.

Still carry a knife with me almost every day. Seems as
if I use it every day... Guess I am not too PC. :-)
