I suppose that it's just as hard for them as it is for me to understand the
game of golf.  "So, let me get this right, you hit a little ball really hard
with a stick.  Then you find the little ball, and hit it again - not being
satisfied that you managed to find it the first time.  You keep hitting it
until it goes into a little hole."  Sounds like a good walk spoiled...
