In case anyone is interested, there is a very nice little book about an IAT
thru-hike by Monique Dykstra. She's a photographer and journalist, not a
backpacker, so the perspective is somewhat different. However, it has
something many books of its kind lack - gorgeous, well photographed
pictures. She's a little overfond of the polarizer for my taste, and some of
the wildlife shots are stock (no problem with that, it's hard to carry a
long telephoto with all the other gear), but overall the Gaspe, and other
areas of Quebec are simply stunning. It's also nicely written.
