Thank you for your feedback.  Ya, my dog is used to ignoring others.  I live
in Los Angeles.  So, my dog is walked every day on leash and ignores many,
many other people and dogs.  This skill developed for city living will be
helpful on the trail as well.


To be honest, I didn't expect this to be such a heated subject.  I do realize
that there are many things that I need to consider if I am going to hike with
my dog.  That is why I joined this list and why I am asking these questions
of those of you who have been out there.  :)
