and then of course, there is also that wet dog that isn't your own,
which you find curled up in your sleeping bag!  Happened to me a few
weeks ago on my Virginia trip.  He had evidently been down to the spring
for something to drink, and even though it was 15 degrees out, came back
to the shelter a bit wet and muddy.   yuck.  I really hate dogs in the
shelters.
