FYI
I utilized COBRA after I was laid off.
My initial coverage cost 39.00, but skyrocketed to $375.00 per month, after
the employer paid part reverted to the "employee pays all" mode (after 3
months).
Know what your COBRA expenses will be for the whole term of your hike, not
just the first few months.
