Since none of these treatments are guaranteed to kill 100% of
waterborne critters, every known pathogen can be included. The
typical difficult pathogens are cysts such as crypto and giardia
- requiring extensive exposure to bleaching agents before an
adequate fraction of their population succumbs.

As I said earlier, it is late winter and we have gotten off on
the annual water treatment hystrionics. All treatments work to
reduce populations of water borne pathogens, none are perfect,
and none prevent fecal oral contamination from other sources.
