[at-l] night hiking

<PRE>In 1980 when hiking with our 3 little boys,8,10,12 we got off the trail at
Unicoi Gap in Georgia to go to Unicoi state park for a couple of days for
showers and laundry. They had a great summer program for families. One was a
night hike at Anna Ruby Falls. We loved it!We have been hooked on night hiking
ever since. We do a lot on it when we are on our look out job.We go to town
for supplies and walk back up in the dark.It is especially fun when there is
a full moon.No artificial light needed. It seems like there are way more stars
than you could ever imagine. No lights from the city to obscure the beauty.I
might mention we did go back to Amicalola and camp on our way home that year
and night hiked there. The phosferous glow is called Fox Fire.We try to be
extremely careful in places we are not familiar with, but I would highly
recommend a night hike at least once.tattoogranny
