I'm hoping somebody will bring a Hennessy A-sym to the PA Ruck.
I want to try one out.
I've tried the Nomad, one man tents, two man tents, three sizes of tarp,
a bivy, a hammock, and sleeping under the stars. I use a hammock
now if at all practical. :) (I.e. there are trees, I'm not sharing a
tent
for some reason, I don't need to keep all my gear inside
with me..)
They're lightweight, less costly than most tents, and the sleeping
comfort
is unparalleled. When hiking with a partner, we only need to find
enough flat ground for one, as I can easily set up on a slope.
On the other hand, my partner does sleep more securely in her tent
than I do in my hammock during truly crappy weather.
