Yes, as I often see folks who have no clue why the wrist straps are
attached.

Recall the Larson / Far Side cartoon of a class room of geeks looking
at a poster of a screw driver and a screw. I recall physics and
calculus classes where folks really had a hard time understanding the
"right hand rule" and vectors - obviously never having an intimate
relationship with a slot or phillips screw driver.
