[at-l] GA-RUCK One More Time

Dates: Friday 17 Jan to ??? (I'm leaving Monday)

Location: Amicalola Falls State Park

Times: Folk tend to show up all day Friday and Saturday.

Schedule of events: None

This is a open-ended free-wheeling get together, w/ a premium on going with
the flow as things work themselves out. It looks as if some folk will bring
soup for Friday night. Some folk will bring breakfast stuff for Saturday
Morning. Some folk will bring pot-luck for Saturday night. I am sort of
keeping a food list and posting it from time to time. However, nothing is
planned, assigned, required, etc. See a hole in the food list? Volunteer
to fill it and post the fact, so others don't over fill the same hole. Last
year we had too much food. This year the sign-up is very slow. If we come
up short, the is food service at the lodge.

Lee I Joe is keeping a list of folk who has said that they will attend.

Depending on the weather we could all end up taking a walks, or sitting
around talking in the big double cabin the OB has rented. That will be RUCK
Central. More than likely there will be some show and tell, gear
swapping/selling, some "tuckerizing," some tall tales, and some singing,
etc -- but who knows for sure.

Sly has said he will bring a CDT slideshow Saturday night.

Cost: None for the RUCK, itself.

There is a $2.00 fee to get into Amicalola Falls. Accommodations are up to
you -- cost vary. Some will be daytripping, some staying at the Lodge, some
have cabins, etc. Call 1-800 864-7275, or 770 389-7275. Last year some
folks camped. However, I understand that the camp site are closed for
renovation this year.

Some of the folk with cabin reservations might have a bed open, if you wants
to split the cost.
