Found this on Bill (the blind through hiker who wrote
_Blind Courage_) Irwin's  website:

Several years ago Bill was facing kidney failure from
the treatment of his osteo-arthritis. He decided to
find an alternative method of treatment. He discovered
that if one changes their eating habits that are
composed primarily of raw fruits and vegetables they
will immediately begin to feel better.



Did he right about this in the book?  Still on my
list...

I hear from so many that diet changes turned around
arthritis.
