Did you look at the Fuji Finepix?  I am waiting for mine to arrive but from=
 all accounts, I will love it. It takes 2 AAs and, while I haven't weighed =
it myself, the website says its is 5.5. ounces without batteries. From just=
 feeling it in the store, that sounds about right.

look on ebay for rechargers , batteries and memory cards. You can often buy=
 there in quantities of 16 or so batteries.
