[at-l] Weight issues

If anyone is going to the PA Ruck, I would suggest someone bring a scale
and let's tuckerize them until they are comfortable (kinda like last year).
Amy was a qualified newbie who needed help, she definateley used some ideas.
Still have to hike with her though...

The hiker that's being "tuckerized" doesn't actually have to follow what
people say, but I think they get a lot of insight on what people carry in
their packs. I sure did and have lost about 15-20 lbs. from my pack. It
might make quite a difference in their thinking about what is lightweight
and what is not. Also The "hiker" can decide for themselves what is best
suited for their travel and maybe I don't need the "therm-a-rest" or the
"MSR" Stove.

So this is basically a requst for any and all hikers that are doing the
trail this year, in any capacity, to actually bring what you hike with and
we'll way it and analyze it. Be sure to bring full packs with "EVERYTHING"
you plan to take, including medications, luxaries, Electronics, etc.
I sure wish we could do this year after year? Maybe this can become an
integral part of the Ruck and the new years hikers? I gave my scale to Mara
"Stitches", so I can only contribute on advice. Whad'ya think.

Hey Felix, you still got my nametag???
