[at-l] Mice

I got this from Arctic Sven's journal of his 1999 thru
hike.  I have heard and read  many versions of this
story, but here is the original

The =93fun=94 that we had with the mice turned wicked
last=A0 night. One little rodent bit me, on 4 occasions,
on my=A0 upper lip while I slept. It hurt and woke me up
each=A0 time. The guy in the bunk above me got bitten
half a=A0 dozen times as well. I think the Bullfrog
sunscreen=A0 with aloe and other fragrances might have
attracted it=A0 to my face. It also climbed in the
sleeping bag with=A0 the guy in the top bunk.

At 5:05 AM I declared the rodent obviously deceased=A0
and stopped any sort of resuscitation attempts. It=A0
apparently bit me on the lip and received a pummeling=A0
inside my bag. It climbed into the bag with me and
hid=A0 by my neck. I punched it about 5 times. It=92s
little=A0 beaklike nose was bloody and the corpse just
laid=A0 there. I took some tissue and flung it onto the
floor.=A0 Then I wiped up the bloodstain from my
sleeping bag=A0 pillow. I an going to buy a couple of
rat traps at the=A0 next grocery store and kill every
rodent I can from=A0 here to Maine. I won=92t use
poison...yet. Rodents =3D 4,=A0 Sven =3D 1.
