It can be major trip for folks in the East too.  I would like to do two
sections this year also but I want to do them in order South => North so I
have to figure on getting myself from The Canadian border to Springer Mt.
(over 900 miles) then home from wherever (Fontana Dam? Damascus?) and back
to wherever when I do the second section.  I confess the whole thing gets
more intimidating as it gets closer but I want to see all those places I've
been reading about.
