"I am interested in hiking 4 days in a portion of the northern part of the
AT that is interesting and challenging.  Any suggestions?"

Head on up to Baxter, one day to climb Katahdin, one day to do the
AT/Blueberry Ledges loop, and two days to hike a there and back again to
Rainbow Lake.
