Some that I have enjoyed but were not mentioned yet:

"A Walk with Sunshine"  by  Jeff Alt,  - an excellent read

"How to Make a Journal of Your Life" by Dan Price.  He was featured in
"Backpacker" with his journal of Hells Canyon.

"The Backpacker's Field Manual" By Rick Curtis

"The Backpacker's Handbook" By Chris Townsend

Then there is of course the online journals... My absolute favorite journal
that I have read is one of a woman hiker named "Belcher" and her journey
north.   Some of you may know of it,  it is a hoot!

  I received a book called "A Journey North" by Adrienne Hall and will be
reading this on the winter break from work and while visiting the in-laws in
NY state.
