This year, the group built Mountain Creek Trail, a 1.3-mile trail that
connects the Fuller Lake area to the Laurel Lake area in Pine Grove
Furnace State Park.

"Now hikers can move into the woods and walk through a pine forest, a
hardwood forest, rock outcroppings, a swamp area and the Mountain Creek
area" instead of walking through the old railroad bed, where they would
have to compete with traffic and bicycles, Davis said when they finished
the trail in October.
