[at-l] question for the blokes - another vote for the synthetic boxers

It may be a combination of two things: 1) Personal body conditions; which
vary from person to person. And 2) Not "resting" and taking time to let
things air out. For instance, just as you are advised to take a sit-down
break every so often and then take off socks and shoes, every so often, you
should arrange your loose clothes so as to increase the air flow into them.
Also, you should keep a "dry" cloth to wipe down the areas that chafe due to
"sweat". Further, powder them.

PS Has anyone ever considered making a "sweat" pad for the chafe areas?
Seems that cloth that would "soak" up moisture (like fleece or flannel)
could be used for "sweat/chafe" pads. I know (don't ask how) that women
often wore such pads for various "female" problems before they came up with
sanitary products. And once I had a serious chafe because of an allergic
reaction to a "new and wonderful" deoderant soap. So I folded up some
"flour bag" fuzzy cloth, and it worked great.

Another vote here for the synthetic, fairly soft/stretchy boxer shorts;
hanging loose, unless you go nude, almost guarantees more friction
between your equipment, the outer short, and hot, sweaty thighs [sorry
for the image that may trigger!]. With the synthetic boxers, you may
trap more heat, but you get the wicking effect and you have almost zero
rubbing potential. During the summer, I often did hang loose in my $10
buck Walmart swimsuit shorts, and it was during that time period that I
came closest to having a chafing problem . . .
