I've used a "Visa" Debit Card for the last decade or so since cutting up my
last credit card.
I've not had a problem, and yes I've heard all the horror stories.

To me a Debit Card is like Ultralight Backpacking... I am no longer burdened
by the weight of Debt!

Also, most credit cards beginning charging exorbitant finance charges from
the moment you take a cash advance out against them.  You avoid these
charges with a debit card.
