[at-l] Christmas on the Trial and Christmas wish list.

Friends. If you were going to be on the trail on Christmas or during the
holidays, what would you do to make it "festive" for yourself and/or others?
(Actually I'm asking JIC some friends come in before New Year's, but also
becaus I am curious. You should know that there may be some young
backpackers with us. It won't be a wilderness experience and it won't be
long, but we won't be where a Huddle House is handy for a meal.).

Also, what would you wish for from Santa for 1) yourself that relates to
backpacking and 2) for the AT?

FELIZ NAVIDAD! HAPPY YULE! MERRY KWANZAA! And may y'all have a new year
filled with whatever you want, whatever you need, and what is good for you.

William, The Red and Green Turtle

PS My great-great uncle Smiley once said "If it don't kill ya, it's
good fer yuh." ;-) Of course he was sipping some "mountain dew" at the
time.

P2S	I mentioned Huddle House above because it is one of the few places
open on Christmas Day in Columbia. Most restaurants close. What about us
singles who hate cooking on holidays? Actually I love cooking it's the
clean-up I HATE!
