Folks:  I just spent the better part of half an hour catching up with my
mail.  I'm kinda glad I get the List in Digest form, as it makes it easier
to wade thru.

Re: Roks' Tax check-off proposal:

It is evident that some folks think this is a good idea; it's evident that
that most folks think that the original proposal will never fly, for any
number of reasons.  It's evident that a few folks think the original idea
could be re-worked somehow.

It is REALLY evident that the tone of the discussion has gotten really ugly,
and is unpleasant to read.  I can only wonder what some of the new folks
think about all this.  I respectfully suggest that folks interested in
continuing this seemingly pointless dialogue do so thru private
correspondence; if you're interested in Roks' idea, then by all means get in
touch with him; if you're not interested, well that's OK, too.

But for heaven's sake, it's almost Christmas.  Could we maybe make an effort
to be a little more civil to each other---or better yet, why not leave this
discussion to those who are actually interested in it, and the rest of us
can move on to other matters.

   Anyone wanna talk about the Trail???
