10)  Green plants, tied and placed in the Trail by someone - one of the
strangest sights I ever saw . . . for a distance of several miles right
before Rockfish Gap these plants clearly had been gathered, tied and
placed in the middle of the Trail . . . I speculated to myself that they
might have been the work of some Wiccans, or a similar group . . . since
I was hiking alone at the time, I had no one to ask . . . anybody out
there have any ideas or similar experiences in that area?  I think there
was a supposedly haunted house nearby?  Sorry for the lousy picture, but
I was in a hurry to get to the Gap before dark . . . many of the
placements were more substantial and obvious than this picture shows.
