Recently I was talking to a friend who likes to get into the "Great
Outdoors" or anywhere that is not indoors; especially after having deal with
some of his company's custormers. Our discussion ended up in revoling
around what was the minimum backpacking equipment you would need in a
"Get-Away Pack". We finally decided that it would depend on the season (for
example your Summer kit would be different than a Winter kit), the area
(mountains vs. shore), locality (South vs. Maine), and such. But what would
be the minimum kit, y'all would put in a "Get-Away Pack"; especially for
those "spur-of-the-moment" get-aways?

William, The Turtle

PS Last New Year's I was willing to go running stark naked out of my apt.
after the party next door. And today after dealing with publishers
"reusing" ISBNs, I'm almost ready to walk towards the Smokies with what I
have on.
