Neels Gap is about 31 miles from the summit of Springer, 39 miles from Amicalola
State Park.

Being cold, wet and hungry are part of the pleasures and challenges of a thru
hike. You can't imagine how good you will feel when the sun returns after a week
of being cold, wet and hungry.
