this does sound fishy.    Maybe it was a white tail.

that is because they are not following the 2 top rules of any shooting
sport.

1. always be SURE of your back drop
2.  NEVER. NEVER. NEVER.  pull the trigger, unless you can POSITIVELY
identify your target.  If you can't be 100% sure, let it go.
