[at-l] RE: Pennsylvania Pointed Rocks

OK, I just can't help but resist commenting on
Pennsylvania. I have to say that the state pleasantly
surprised me. I thought that it was going to be 200+
miles of rocks, and it was more like about 40 miles of
ridiculous rocks with alot of really easy miles.
Especially south of Port Clinton, the trail in PA is
some of the easiest on the entire AT. There are about
three-four days out of Port Clinton until High Point,
NJ where the rocks become annoying and then obnoxious,
but there are also two shelters that have Klondike
bars and sodas for 50 cents. That definitely helped
make the rocks not seem so bad! To comment on the
blue blaze from 501 to Port Clinton, I hiked the white
blazes while a couple of my hiking friends hiked the
blue blazes. They definitely had more fun then I did
since the rocks and PUDS abounded on that section of
the AT, and I regretted my "only hike white blazes
vow." If I ever did it again, I would definitely hike
blue/brown blazes.
