Re[2]: [at-l] Its happening again

I've never heard anyone make such a claim about WF. A few of us have said WF has
done useful things for the trail, despite human frailities, though we differ
somewhat in the degree of usefulness that we detect, and in our opinion of the
wisdom of some AT-L participants.

In contrast, the majority of those commenting, repeatedly seem to be claiming
that WF has no redeeming features. Even his decision to care for his folks in
their declining years is treated as a fault. I continue to find it puzzling that
otherwise rational listers react so blindly to any favorable mention of the guy.
Is their misunderstanding of WF caused by an emotional inability stemming from
perceived past slights? I wasn't around when Wingfoot and the list split apart.
But it seems to have been a traumatic experience because years later some still
react, seemingly blindly, apparently unable to read and understand what is said
once WF's name is mentioned.
