You guys have pretty much covered the accepted version of the poop field.
How about this, have you ever or ever been with the "Farty" hiker. No
matter what is eaten always pollutes the trailwind. This is kinda funny
however I am serious. So, what do you think.

As far as my spin on the where to poop area. NEVER, never, ever poop near
the shelter, food area or trail or views. A cathole and a scoop will do 100
yards in.
