[at-l] Pooping in the Woods

Can someone explain to me why human waste is particularly harmful to the
environment (assuming your definition of the environment excludes
humans)? The only problems I've heard of are spread to humans from
humans: giardia, crypto, etc.

I understand that TP isn't very good (though I doubt that a couple
microns of cellulose based paper is high on the list) and poop probably
attracts animals.

Just curious.
