There is a relo in process right now that goes by Elk River and two large
waterfalls and ends by Walnut Mtn Road on the north end.  (per Weathercarrot,
who was out there working on it a few weeks or so ago w/ Bob Peoples and the
TEHCC).  It's been in progress for the past few years, and will be open this
month.  It adds a few miles to the Trail, but it's easier and much more
scenic ;-)
