thanks to all who replied to my questions....

sounds like i need my winter gear, my really HEAVY winter gear. oh well, i
guess i can always send it home after a few months.

now that i think about it, the only
additions im calling "winter gear" are my gortex parka, 2nd pair medium
weight underwear(which i was probably going to bring anyways), and a zero
degree bag (as oppossed to a 20 degree bag).
by the way, this is texas "winter" gear :)

as far as vegetarian food is concerned, it sounds like i have a lot of
experimenting to do.

im still not sure what im going to do about resuppling (as i go, or mail
drops), but im leaning toward doing both equally.
