To all those cold weather over night hikers.  I was testing some of my equi=
pment the other night and ended up with a raw scratchy numb feeling in the =
back, roof of my mouth (also felt like it went down the back as well).  I w=
as in 30 degree temps in my Clark hammock (my dogs water froze).  I chose t=
o not put the netting or fly up, just staring at the dark new moon sky brig=
ht with stars!  I slept with only a small portion of my face exposed.  I am=
 a open mouth breather...  Did the cold do that to my throat?  It felt like=
 nothing I've experienced before.
