WINMAIL.DAT is a proprietary Outlook file that allows Outlook users to send=
 Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format (TNEF) information (see Microsoft's=
 technical support article at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/artic=
les/Q241/5/38.ASP). This TNEF information is unopenable and irrellevant out=
side of Outlook.

  occasionally I'll get e-mails with 'winmail.dat' tagged on
  to the bottom. The other 'text' in the message is normal (in
  appearance, not content). There is just an attachment at the
  bottom called 'winmail.dat'.
  What is dat? I mean that?
