[at-l] Traction

I was wondering who had the best traction on the trail?  Some
hikerette who wears an 8 narrow boot (more pressure per square
inch on the sole of the boot) or me who wears a 14 medium (no
jokes about clown shoes, but there is more surface area for
gripping).  Inquiring minds want to know.  Please don't let this
thread degenerate into who has the biggest feet and who has the
littlest feet.
