[at-l] Nimblewill Nomad sighting!

We had the nicest surprise this weekend. Nimblewill gave us a call and
showed up at our new place. He came home to check on things at home, called
and came and visited on Saturday night. He was already on his way back to
his cross country hike.

Nomad had already hiked to Santa Fe, New Mexico and was chalking up amazing
miles, up to 48 miles in one day! He was telling us that the heat was
unrelievable and there would be periods when he would hike 200 miles with no
availability of water. So the biggest problem was dehydration in the desert
and he is getting ready to go through the Mojave.

He looked the best we have seen him in a long time, actually looked like he
had gained a bit of weight. This may have been because he often spent
nights in motels which gave him more of a chance to eat real food. He is
having a great time and meeting lots of new folks.

The heat from this hike unfortunately fried his pocketmail. He lost all of
his addresses so if you want to hear from him, or get back on his list,
e-mail him at nimblewillnomad@pocketmail.com He got a new one but is very
disappointed in it, liked the older Sharp version much better. He actually
offered to trade me his new one for my Sharp, but I declined after he told
me how much better the older version is.

You can also follow his hike at his website www.nimblewillnomad.com

If anyone tells you they are too old to hike, tell them to check out his
site. He gives us so much inspiration.
