[at-l] food safety question

this is interesting! 'cause I usually hike until I can't take it anymore.
Then camp, cook, moan, chill, etc. I've always figured "away from" meant
50 ft. But, when you think about it ... A lot of good that will do. So. I
guess, I've always been lucky with critters. Or, critters aren't really the
problem I've been lead to believe. (as, Weary pointed out). If you were
to make , say ..., lunch your BIG meal. or, eat a mile or so before you
camp. I guess I'd have to pack so that my stove, pot, & that day's meal,
were easy to get to. Also, How do you handle the *laziness* that always
hits you after a meal? How long does it take to digest food so that you
don't throw up while exercising?

Some folks will cook at a specified time, and plan to walk another hour
or two after supper. I like to keep a quarter mile minimum when I'm
camping alone unless I have bear bag cables available.
