Well maybe, but if you use the proper precautions,
you should be safe.  Bear bag, clean up the trash,
don't cook in or near the tent, etc.

I mean -- almost any cooking is going to produce
smells that will appeal to bears and critters.  I doubt
if the critters care whether it's from Liptons noodles
or from a porterhouse steak.  Bears don't judge food
by the same standards we do.
