Here is a dumb question, but I am rather curious if someone with a
scientific understanding can shed some light on this:

Are you as likely to make yourself sick from poor hygene as you are someone
else?

To put it another way.  Is it much worse to eat GORP that has been
contaminated by others' dirty hands, than GORP which has only been
contaminated by your own?
