[at-l] Art Loeb / Mountains to Sea ..pictures

Chase,

You were hiking in one of my favorite areas. It has been over 10 years,
but I have been up to Cold Mountain twice, and the sunrise & sunset from
there is phenomenal and the views seem to go on forever. You walked the
worst of the trail - finding your way to Deep Gap (and ain't those
Narrows awsome?) - once you get to the base of Cold Mountain the trail
is not as difficult to follow.

Sleeping out on Shining Rock is something else. At night when the
crystaline structure of the outcropping cools, you can feel a slight
vibration, and I swear you can hear it hum. The stars out there are so
bright that you feel like you can just reach up and touch them.

And the blue berries! Everywhere. And just as sweet and flavorful as God
intented them to be. Great as is and something else in the pancakes in
the morning.

Thanks for reminding me of a beautiful place to hike.

Man, I have got to go back there again.... and, by the way, I have read
Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier - it remains on the top of my all time
favorites.
