[at-l] green beans

I'm not sure I'd call it "not two expeinsive". WWW.JUSTTOMATOES.COM
offers several dried foods. Black Beans are $3.50 for 5 oz. Corn (which
is very much like eating Sugar Pops) is $3.25 for 3 oz. They do not
offer green beans. I know of at least a couple of listers who have
wholesale access to this vendor, and have used them for longterm
resupply.

If you buy food when it is cheap (farmer's markets, pick yourself,
frozen from warehouse retailers), then it is often cheaper to dehydrate
at home. You also have the advantage of preparing food as you like it,
knowing the contents.

Another option is to watch eBay.com auctions. Occasionally, you will
find Y2K hysterics who are now trying to convert their freeze dried
food cache into cash. This can become very cheap.
