[at-l] Great Gulf AT & Wilderness Area Conflict?

I'm confused by this also. For instance, the area around Blood Mountain is
a Wilderness area. The shelter south of Blood Mtn was built over 700 yards
from the trail just outside of the Wilderness area boundary. Among the
Wilderness distinctions include prohibitions of power equipment, such as
chainsaws and the like. Hauling equipment and building materials can be
very complicated.

I suspect there are many areas of the trail that are designated Wilderness
zones. Improvements that would require power equipment are located away
from the trail to avoid creating additional expense and logistic
complications from following the regulations.
