Epson red ink has a notorious fading problem. I believe Epson claims the
problem is fixed but I still here reports about it. PC Mag talked about it
several months ago. A strange problem for a company that emphasizes photo
quality so much in their adverts.

RE: Longevity of prints.  Any print is subject to color shift or fading if
subjected to daylight.  It's a question of how much and how long does it
take.  I've had a few Epson ink jet prints made with fade resistant ink
shift color badly (toward orange) in as little as 2 weeks while others seem
to hold up very well.  Bear in mind I've only had this printer for a
year.  The prints stored in darkness and only brought out occasionally seem
to hold their color just fine.  Again I've only had this printer for a year.
